ALEXANDRA ALMENDAREZ
Alexandra Almendarez is a SAG-AFTRA actress, singer, and dancer based in Los Angeles. Her mission is to empower people to find and follow their purpose by sharing her art. She is currently co-producing and starring in the SAG-AFTRA dark comedy short, Dumpster Fire, inspired by FX’s The Bear. She also recently wrapped leading roles in a 2D animated short film sequel, a horror feature, as well as a film noir/supernatural feature film starring Udo Kier (Hunters – Netflix). In addition, Alexandra is slated to shoot another feature and short.
More credits include a recurring role on CoComelon as Nina’s Mom (Netflix – Season 5); modeling an outfit inspired by Jennifer Lopez on The Real Daytime Talk Show (FOX), session-singing for the Grammy-nominated Melissa Manchester on her album, You Gotta Love the Life, and national ads for brands such as Uber, Starbucks, Eighth Day Skin, Best Friends Animal Society, and Bearpaw. She has also booked the lead dancer for the Grammy-nominated Mariachi Sol de Mexico for their track, “Por Una Cabeza” and has danced on performance teams under the direction of Kimberli Flores and Stephanie Stevenson.
During the pandemic she wrote, cast, produced, and acted in her own material, which has empowered her to create her own projects. Recently, she’s been featured in magazines and podcasts such as We are Moving Stories, Shoutout LA, Voyage LA: Rising Stars, the Indie Hustlers Podcast, the Ryoichi Talk Show, and was just interviewed for the upcoming novel, The Power of Dance, by Duke Ung. Last year, Alexandra wrapped the 2D animated short, Matty Cat which debuted earlier this year at LA Comic Con and was featured at Aggiecon, Cal Women’s Film Festival, and the Big Apple Film Festival in NYC. Some fun facts about Alexandra are that she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and that one of her goals is booking a Broadway show; during her free time, she enjoys singing, hiking, dancing Salsa, Hip Hop, and Bollywood, modeling, and spending time with her friends and family.
