Melanie Mahanna

Melanie is a Brooklyn based artist originally from Clinton, NY. She attended Syracuse University where she earned a degree in inclusive education and French. After graduation, Melanie moved to Brooklyn to become a fifth grade special education teacher. It was in her classroom, where Melanie exercised her improv and character skills before a captive and honest audience: 25 fifth graders. During her summers off from the classroom, Melanie began taking acting classes and quickly fell in love with this form of storytelling and performance. After a couple years of teaching during the day and acting during nights and weekends, Melanie took a leap of faith and dove full-time into the world of acting.
